Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' symptoms of mood disorders, including their severity, frequency, and duration.
• Collaborate with clients to design and implement tailored treatment plans that consider their unique needs, preferences, and goals.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to empower clients in their recovery journey.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to enhance overall wellness.
• Monitor and document clients’ progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments.
• Coordinate closely with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each client’s care.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in treating mood disorders to continuously refine and enhance your therapeutic techniques.
• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings, contributing to a culture of ongoing professional development and clinical excellence.
• Serve as an advocate for clients, working diligently to reduce the stigma associated with mood disorders and promote understanding within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing various mood disorders, including but not limited to depression and bipolar disorder. Our clients often come from diverse backgrounds and present unique challenges, making your role critical in providing individualized care that respects their unique experiences and needs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current, valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Tennessee.
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatments for mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT.
• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other clinicians.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from various demographics.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome applicants with varying levels of experience, preference will be given to candidates who have a proven track record in successfully treating mood disorders and those who have participated in additional training or workshops related to therapeutic techniques and client advocacy.
