Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' histories and treatment needs.
• Design and implement customized treatment plans aimed at promoting trauma recovery and building resilience through specific therapeutic modalities.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in both individual and group therapy settings.
• Facilitate therapy sessions that empower patients to explore their trauma, develop coping mechanisms, and embark on a healing journey.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other specialists to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, addressing both mental and emotional aspects.
• Address crisis situations by providing immediate intervention and support to clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate clients and their families on the impacts of trauma, effective coping strategies, and available support resources.
• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation to meet both ethical and legal standards of practice.
• Engage in regular case consultations, attend team meetings, and actively participate in professional development focused on trauma-informed care.
• Stay informed on current research and best practices in trauma treatment to continually improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals grappling with trauma and related mental health disorders. This includes working with adults and adolescents coping with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your expertise will help clients develop a deeper understanding of their experiences and foster resilience as they work towards recovery.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Must hold a current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Arizona.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in a therapeutic setting is required.

Preferred Experience

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed care practices.
• Proven history of delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions with measurable outcomes.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and empathetic approach towards clients.
• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations and provide effective crisis intervention.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems for maintaining accurate patient documentation.

Compensation and Benefits
