Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ emotional, psychological, and social needs, providing a decisive foundation for individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy, to deliver effective interventions for individuals, couples, and families.
• Lead psychoeducational and support groups, addressing common mental health issues and providing patients with a supportive community.
• Implement crisis intervention techniques and support mechanisms in mental health emergencies, ensuring patient safety and immediate access to care.
• Educate patients about their conditions, potential treatment options, and local resources to empower their recovery journey.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential records that comply with HIPAA and other legal standards, documenting care provided and treatment outcomes.
• Participate in case consultations and team meetings to enhance treatment strategies and share insights, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and therapeutic advancements, integrating new knowledge into practice to enhance service provision.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a diverse clientele seeking support for various mental health issues. The patient population includes individuals experiencing acute distress, chronic mental health conditions, and those navigating complex life situations. The role emphasizes providing compassionate and culturally sensitive care, recognizing the unique backgrounds and experiences of each patient.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in New Jersey.
• Comprehensive knowledge of various mental health disorders and the latest evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting assessments and formulating personalized treatment plans.
• Proficiency in delivering individual and group therapy, with a strong focus on building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
