Accounts Receivable Specialist

A Beacon Hill client in the environmental industry is seeking an Accounts Receivable & Billing Specialist to join their team in Basking Ridge, NJ. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering stability and growth potential within a collaborative accounting department. The ideal candidate will have experience in billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, or administrative accounting support, along with strong attention to detail and data accuracy. Compensation is dependent upon experience. This is a fully onsite position. Position Summary: Generate weekly and monthly customer invoices Manage accounts receivable activities and collection efforts Respond to customer billing inquiries and resolve invoice discrepancies Research and resolve invoicing and payment disputes Prepare and distribute accounts receivable and invoicing reports Maintain accurate customer account records and payment tracking Support the accounting team with billing-related administrative functions Technical Qualifications: 1+ years of experience in billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or administrative accounting support Experience reviewing, validating, and reconciling data prior to invoice generation Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications Ability to learn new software systems and processes quickly Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail Experience working within a professional services environment preferred Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
