Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, considering both psychological and medical history to understand the unique challenges faced by our patients.

• Create and implement tailored treatment plans that are focused on both mental health and any co-occurring medical conditions, employing evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring they are responsive to the specific needs and circumstances of each patient.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including medical providers, to ensure coordinated care and effective treatment strategies.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, ensuring timely and effective resolution of crises.

• Educate patients on the interrelation between mental health and physical well-being, equipping them to effectively manage their mental health conditions.

• Maintain thorough and confidential patient documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health records efficiently.

• Participate in case conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing to collaborative treatment planning and case management.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our center serves a diverse client population, including individuals facing co-occurring medical conditions such as autoimmune disorders, chronic pain, and substance use disorders. Your empathetic approach and clinical expertise will help guide these patients through their complex challenges, fostering a therapeutic environment that promotes healing and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Psychoanalyst, Psychologist, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

• Proficient in using computer applications and electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient care and treatment plans.
\n
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines within a clinical setting.

• Experience providing therapy for individuals with co-occurring medical conditions is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to USD 130,000 , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
