Work Environment\n

This position is designed to be fully remote, leveraging modern telehealth technologies to reach our clients effectively. Your work schedule will typically be Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility to adjust hours as needed to accommodate patients' availability. You will spend much of your time engaging with clients through virtual counseling sessions, utilizing platforms that ensure both security and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to understand patients' backgrounds and develop tailored treatment plans that align with their unique needs.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), that respect each individual’s cultural context.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, guiding discussions that foster a supportive environment for sharing and healing.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to coordinate comprehensive care and ensure continuity in treatment strategies.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, ensuring that clients receive timely assistance.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and resources, empowering them to make informed choices about their care.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment plans, adhering to strict legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in case conferences, internal team meetings, and cultural competency training to enhance team collaboration and continue professional development.

• Stay current with research and best practices in mental health to continually adapt your therapeutic approach to meet evolving client needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve encompass a wide array of ethnicities, cultures, and identities. By focusing on culturally competent care, you will engage with individuals from marginalized communities experiencing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. Your role will involve not only treating these conditions but also understanding the cultural contexts that shape patients' experiences and their willingness to seek help.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• A solid understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies, including a commitment to cultural responsiveness in therapy.

• Documented experience in delivering both individual and group therapy, particularly with diverse populations.

• Strong crisis intervention skills, demonstrating a composed demeanor in challenging circumstances.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with a history of building meaningful rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficient in relevant computer applications for managing client information.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The competitive salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to USD 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
