Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial interviews with clients, assessing their mental, behavioral, and emotional health to inform personalized treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement intervention and recovery plans that address the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and group settings.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based techniques to foster healing and support.

• Monitor and document client progress regularly, ensuring treatment plans remain effective and responsive to changing needs.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals—including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers—to create holistic intervention strategies.

• Manage referrals and follow up with external specialists for clients who require additional support or hospitalization.

• Help clients and their families navigate challenges, empowering caregivers to effectively support their loved ones' mental health journeys.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients represent a wide demographic, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and trauma. As a counselor, you will play a pivotal role in providing tailored support that empowers clients to take charge of their mental health.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree or doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California.

• Successful completion of the NCE and/or NCMHCE.

• Proven experience as a mental health counselor with a strong clinical background.

• Proficient in the use of electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, for documentation and client management.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices set forth by organizations like the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding toward clients.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, essential for effective client interaction and documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience dealing with co-occurring disorders and the interplay between mental health and addiction.

• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and their effects on mental health treatment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, new hires will receive a sign-on bonus as part of our commitment to attracting the best talent.
