As an LMHC, you will engage in both individual consultations and teamwork with desired flexibility, all while maintaining a strong connection to the outpatient office in Syracuse. Key Responsibilities\n

Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve a variety of critical functions, including:

• Conducting intake assessments, problem identification, treatment planning, and ongoing evaluation of patient progress.

• Utilizing the latest edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) to formulate appropriate treatment goals and interventions.

• Developing and implementing brief, evidence-based therapeutic interventions that tackle high-risk behaviors, promote wellness, and foster personal growth.

• Facilitating individual, group, and family counseling sessions that are cognizant of cultural diversity and tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.

• Collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary team to understand the relational dynamics influencing patient experiences and outcomes.

• Maintaining organized, accurate, and timely clinical documentation within our electronic health record system, thus ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily serve veterans and other patients experiencing a range of mental health challenges. As a member of the interdisciplinary Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT), you will provide psychological care that addresses both common and complex mental health issues. Your contributions will enhance patient outcomes through early interventions and ongoing support, ultimately promoting healthier lives and improved overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.

• Active licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) within New York State.

• Demonstrated ability to meet credentialing criteria for relevant clinical settings.

• A minimum of one year of direct experience working with psychiatric patients and/or those with substance use disorders.
