This position is responsible for setting up and operating Okuma LB3000 and LB4000 lathes, making necessary offsets and tool changes, and inspecting completed parts to ensure they meet drawing requirements.The ideal candidate is dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, and takes their work seriously.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate Okuma LB3000 and LB4000 CNC lathesRead and interpret engineering drawingsMake machine and tooling offsets as neededChange cutting tools when necessaryInspect completed parts to confirm they meet drawing requirementsUse precision measuring and inspection tools, including:- MicrometersCalipersDrop indicatorsHeight gaugesThread gaugesMaintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the machining processArrive on time and complete assigned work responsiblyQualificationsPrevious experience setting up and operating CNC lathesHands-on experience with Okuma LB3000 and/or Okuma LB4000 lathesAbility to read and understand engineering drawingsAbility to make offsets and perform tool changesExperience using micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, and thread gaugesStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityDependable, punctual, and serious about workAvailable to work second shiftYou should be proficient in:Precision Measurement & Hand MetrologyMachine Setups for Production RunsMachines & technologies you'll use:Turning LatheCNC Mill (5+ axis VMC) (Okuma) #J-18808-Ljbffr 100Hires, Inc.
