Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and establish diagnoses for patients presenting with acute and chronic endocrine conditions, such as diabetes management, thyroid issues, and growth disorders.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans while integrating patient preferences and evidence-based guidelines.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests and radiology, to guide clinical decision-making and patient management.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and therapeutic interventions, ensuring they align with the latest clinical standards and regulations.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment options, disease prevention, and strategies for promoting health and well-being.
• Document patient encounters in accurate and detailed medical records, adhering to legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance healthcare delivery and patient safety.
• Stay informed on advancements in endocrinology and participate in ongoing professional development to maintain your expertise.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will primarily serve patients with endocrine disorders, including but not limited to diabetes, obesity, and thyroid-related conditions. Our diverse patient population ranges from children requiring hormonal assessments to older adults facing complex medical challenges, allowing for a rich and varied clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Active certification as a Nurse Practitioner with a focus in endocrinology or related specialty.
• Current New York State nursing license to practice.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, with a Master’s degree from an accredited NP program strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in a relevant healthcare setting.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients and colleagues.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex patient needs.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient care with a focus on endocrinology.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $120,000 to $220,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
