Overview: This leadership role blends administrative expertise with clinical knowledge to oversee front office operations and patient care within a busy gastroenterology practice. The ideal candidate will skillfully manage staff, coordinate daily activities, and ensure smooth communication between patients and healthcare providers in a welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support front office secretaries, receptionists, and Medical Assistants across multiple locations, ensuring efficient daily operations.
• Handle all typing, copying, and documentation tasks including creating forms, maintaining menus, and preparing reports and communications promptly.
• Manage phone systems by answering calls, retrieving voicemails, and coordinating communication between physicians and staff.
• Maintain accurate filing and copying of patient and non-patient documents.
• Provide feedback to improve front office workflows and ensure excellent patient service.
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems proficiently to support clinical and administrative duties.
• Deliver direct patient care or delegate tasks, including obtaining vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with minor procedures under physician supervision.
• Assist with testing, treatment procedures, medication sample management, and patient education.
• Coordinate staff scheduling, training, and performance reviews in collaboration with practice leadership.
• Maintain safe and functional work areas and equipment, requesting repairs as needed.
• Represent the department in public relations, committees, and educational initiatives as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Associate degree or equivalent required; candidates pursuing a bachelor's degree with at least two years completed coursework may be considered.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program required or enrollment within one year of hire with completion within three years.
• Minimum of five years' experience in secretary, receptionist, or Medical Assistant roles.

Full-time position with scheduled hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week.
