Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities, mobility, and limitations to devise effective treatment plans tailored to their specific needs.
• Implement and oversee personalized therapy regimens that utilize advanced techniques in manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular re-education.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously through regular evaluations and adjust treatment strategies to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on techniques for injury prevention, effective home exercises, and strategies for maintaining long-term wellness.
• Collaborate closely with physical therapy assistants, physicians, and other healthcare providers to facilitate coordinated and comprehensive care.
• Document patient treatment and progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards to maintain high-quality service provision.
• Involve yourself in community outreach programs to raise awareness about health maintenance and the roles of physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse clientele facing orthopedic challenges, including but not limited to sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation from surgeries such as orthopedic joint replacements, chronic pain conditions, and various musculoskeletal disorders. Your expertise will directly impact their recovery, enhancing their quality of life and functional independence.

Qualifications

• A valid New Jersey Physical Therapist license is required for this role.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate (DPT) or Master's degree is preferred to ensure a strong foundation in clinical practice.
• A minimum of two years of experience in an orthopedic setting is necessary, demonstrating a proven track record of effective patient care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to connect with patients and work effectively within a team.
• Basic knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems for efficient patient documentation.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred, with additional certifications in specialized areas like geriatrics or neurological rehabilitation being a significant advantage.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedics, with a strong preference for candidates possessing at least one year in a similar role.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and the latest techniques in physical therapy.
• A background in sports therapy or rehabilitation techniques may be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
