Role Description The Staff Accountant role is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Las Vegas, NV. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for daily accounting activities including recording journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and reconciling bank and account balances for multiple real estate assets. This role will prepare and review financial statements, assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, and support budgeting and forecasting efforts. The Staff Accountant will handle accounts payable and receivable, ensure accurate and timely invoice processing, and monitor expense coding and approvals. Additional responsibilities include supporting audits and tax filings, maintaining compliance with internal controls and accounting policies, and collaborating with asset management and operations teams to provide clear, reliable financial information. Qualifications Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice tracking, payment processing, and cash flow monitoring. Proficiency with accounting software and Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic financial modeling) and comfort working with large data sets. Knowledge of GAAP and internal control best practices, with attention to accuracy, compliance, and documentation. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams, communicate clearly in writing and verbally, and manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus. Prior experience in real estate, private equity, or property management accounting is beneficial.
