Work Environment\n

As a remote employee, you will collaborate virtually with a multidisciplinary health care team focused on enriching the well-being of geriatric clients. Your work hours will generally be Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, providing a predictable schedule for work-life balance. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly residents to identify specific psychological and emotional care needs.

• Provide both individual and group counseling sessions targeting issues related to loss, transition, and mental wellness for our senior clients.

• Work closely with other healthcare professionals to devise tailored care plans that encompass the physical, emotional, and psychological dimensions of patient well-being.

• Facilitate educational workshops and informational sessions for staff and families on methods to enhance seniors' emotional well-being and overall quality of life.

• Conduct grief and loss counseling for residents and their families, particularly those dealing with end-of-life challenges.

• Implement and monitor cognitive stimulation programs to support mental acuity and engagement among elderly individuals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on elderly individuals, many of whom face substantial life changes and mental health challenges associated with aging. This includes dealing with bereavement, adapting to life changes, and addressing conditions such as anxiety and depression. Your expertise in geriatric counseling will allow you to provide sensitive and effective support tailored to the unique circumstances of older adults.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
