Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth assessments and develop tailored treatment plans, ensuring attention to individual client needs and preferences, particularly for seniors coping with loss and significant life changes.

• Timely completion of clinical documentation, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards while ensuring clarity and thoroughness in all records.

• Utilize evidence-based screening tools to identify client needs and inform treatment strategies, collaborating closely with the clinical team for ongoing evaluation and adjustment.

• Engage with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement proactive support plans aimed at fostering positive behaviors and improving clients' quality of life.

• Actively participate in licensing and accreditation processes to uphold the highest standards of care and maintain organizational excellence.

• Establish and maintain relationships with community partners, state agencies, and service systems to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.

• Promote open communication channels to ensure alignment with organizational goals while advocating for clients’ needs.

• Attend professional development opportunities, including workshops and conferences, to enhance expertise in geriatric mental health and keep abreast of current best practices.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to facilitate clinic objectives and enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on providing mental health support to senior clients, helping them cope with the emotional and psychological challenges associated with aging. Counselors will work with clients experiencing various issues, including depression, anxiety, and bereavement, ensuring a sensitive and tailored approach that respects each individual's unique circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.

• Possession of a valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license.

• A minimum of four years of relevant experience, specifically in geriatric counseling or mental health support.

• Additional training or specialization in geriatric mental health is highly desirable, demonstrating a commitment to continued education and expertise in this specialized field.

Compensation and Benefits\n
