Key Responsibilities

Your daily tasks will encompass a broad range of responsibilities focused on delivering superior physical therapy care. Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing patients' physical abilities and developing tailored treatment plans aimed at improving mobility and reducing pain, using evidence-based practices.
• Supervising and guiding Physical Therapy Assistants in the execution of therapy sessions, ensuring the highest standards of care are met.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of clients' functional levels through diagnostic tests and prescribing appropriate therapeutic exercises and techniques.
• Fitting and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices as necessary, and coordinating with physicians on modifications to enhance client comfort and mobility.
• Regularly updating and maintaining clinical documentation, including care plans and progress notes, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Participating actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaboratively discuss treatment outcomes and refine patient plans.
• Education and training of clients and their families in the use of therapeutic modalities and exercises that promote home practice.
• Addressing any observed changes in patient condition promptly and adjusting care plans accordingly, communicating effectively with the healthcare team.
• Participating in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to physical therapy best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Minimum two years of professional experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably in rehabilitation, acute care, or home health environments.
• Valid and active physical therapy license in the state of Virginia, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
