Position Overview

Gentle Motion Physical Therapy, Inc. seeks an experienced Full-Time Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team at our Charlottesville, Virginia location. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $85,000 to $100,000 annually, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients by reviewing their medical histories, performing specific assessments, and documenting findings and recommendations effectively.

• Communicate evaluation outcomes and treatment plans clearly with patients and their families, actively involving them in setting achievable goals.

• Implement individualized treatment protocols based on evaluation data, adapting as necessary to the patient's ongoing progress and changes in their condition.

• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals when appropriate, recognizing and documenting significant changes in patients' conditions that may necessitate a revised plan of care or additional consultations.

• Ensure proper discharge planning and follow-up care for patients, maintaining accurate documentation of all patient interactions, which includes initial evaluations, treatment plans, daily progress notes, and discharge summaries.

• Demonstrate effective time management skills, meet productivity standards, and maintain an organized schedule, ensuring timely attendance at meetings and clinical appointments.

• Engage in community-based marketing initiatives and contribute to departmental goals, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations and accreditation standards.

• Promote a positive patient experience by being adaptable and responsive to patient needs, helping to remove barriers to care access.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve come to us with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, post-surgery rehabilitation needs, and chronic pain issues. Our multidisciplinary approach ensures each patient receives a customized treatment plan, reflecting their unique circumstances and goals. By working closely with patients, you will help them regain independence, relieve pain, and achieve optimal physical function.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.

• A current physical therapist license for Virginia or the ability to acquire one prior to employment.

• Current American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification is mandatory.

Preferred Experience

At least two years of relevant experience as a Physical Therapist in a clinical setting is preferred. Familiarity with Evidence-Based Practice and a commitment to professional development will place you at a distinct advantage in this role.
