Work Environment

This role requires a hands-on approach and will take place onsite at our cutting-edge rehabilitation center in Charlottesville. Our clinic operates Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized care plans tailored to each patient's specific rehabilitation goals while closely monitoring progress.
• Maintain a manageable patient caseload to ensure sufficient time and attention are allocated to each individual.
• Apply your orthopedic outpatient care expertise to create and implement effective treatment strategies and interventions.
• Incorporate evidence-based practices and techniques to foster client mobility and overall health, emphasizing non-surgical approaches.
• Develop comprehensive fitness and wellness plans that cater to each patient's unique challenges and aspirations.
• Promote patient motivation and engagement throughout their rehabilitation journey, encouraging a proactive approach to recovery.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, integrating insights from additional healthcare providers to enhance patient care.
• Consistently evaluate treatment effectiveness and adapt plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment sessions, utilizing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, specifically Web PT.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions affecting mobility. Additionally, we cater to athletes seeking to improve performance and prevent injuries. As a Physical Therapist here, you'll have the opportunity to work with patients of all ages, enabling you to apply various therapeutic interventions across different stages of recovery.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
• Possession of a valid and active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia.
• A clear license with no violations or history of sanctions.
• Proficient in multiple manual therapy modalities and techniques relevant to outpatient orthopedic care.
• Ability to design and execute effective exercise programs to address diverse physical needs.
• Familiarity with EMR software, particularly experiencing using Web PT for accurate documentation.
• Up-to-date knowledge of current physical therapy practices supported by the latest research.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, specifically related to injury rehabilitation and sports medicine.
• A proven track record of successful patient outcomes in physical therapy treatments.
• Skills in mentoring or supervising physical therapy students or interns.
• Active participation in professional development activities, such as workshops or continuing education courses.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and expertise in physical therapy.
