Ace Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Punta Gorda, Florida. Ace Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center is an established outpatient private practice specializing in orthopedic rehabilitation. Located in Punta Gorda, our facility is designed to deliver exceptional care in a supportive and professional environment. We are proud to boast a state-of-the-art 5000-square-foot sports medicine facility equipped with advanced therapeutic technologies to enhance patient outcomes. Our team comprises a tight-knit group of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA) who share a commitment to quality care and patient satisfaction.

Work Environment

This position is 100% onsite at our outpatient office in Punta Gorda, Florida, where you will work Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Our facility fosters a collaborative atmosphere, and as part of our team, you will have access to a variety of resources and tools designed to support your practice. You will have the opportunity to engage closely with patients in a one-on-one setting, ensuring personalized treatment and rehabilitation plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' goals, needs, and movement impairments, ensuring customized and effective treatment plans.
• Manage an individual caseload, dedicating focused, one-on-one therapy sessions to each patient, typically at a rate of one patient per hour.
• Utilize evidence-based modalities and manual therapy techniques to promote healing and recovery.
• Develop comprehensive care plans incorporating various treatment methods, including therapeutic exercises, manual manipulations, and modalities to enhance mobility and function.
• Encourage patients to engage in their rehabilitation process by motivating them and fostering a positive, supportive environment throughout their treatment journey.
• Regularly evaluate treatment outcomes and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure optimal patient progress.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment protocols, and outcomes in accordance with established standards and utilizing WebPT EMR Software.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients covered by private medical insurance, addressing various orthopedic conditions that affect their ability to perform daily activities. The patient demographic ranges from post-surgical orthopedic patients to individuals with chronic pain or movement issues. Your work will directly contribute to their recovery and enhancement of functionality.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid Florida state license as a Physical Therapist without any disciplinary actions on record.
• Strong foundational knowledge of orthopedic rehabilitation principles.
• Exceptional skill in manual therapy techniques and designing effective exercise programs.
• Proficiency in using EMR systems, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, demonstrating a track record of effective treatment outcomes.
• Certification or coursework in advanced therapeutic techniques would be advantageous.
• Previous experience with patient education and motivation techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
