Work Environment

You will be working in a dynamic and collaborative outpatient office setting in Port Charlotte, Florida, known for its vibrant community and scenic views. Our clinic boasts a friendly atmosphere, allowing for open communication and teamwork among health professionals. The standard work schedule is from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, providing a stable work-life balance while ensuring time is dedicated to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs effectively and create individualized care plans addressing their specific goals.
• Manage a reasonable patient load to ensure each patient receives comprehensive attention and quality care.
• Utilize your expert knowledge in orthopedic rehabilitation to implement effective treatment strategies.
• Employ evidence-based practices while developing non-surgical treatment options to facilitate patient recovery.
• Instruct patients in specialized exercises designed to improve mobility and prevent movement-related injuries.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions properly using EMR systems, specifically the Web PT platform for accurate record-keeping.
• Offer motivation and support, encouraging patients throughout their rehabilitation journey to promote adherence to treatment plans.
• Work collaboratively with physicians and rehabilitation specialists to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Stay updated with the latest in physical therapy research to apply new findings and techniques within treatment protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a diverse patient population comprising individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will engage with patients ranging from athletes requiring specialized recovery programs to older adults seeking to maintain mobility and independence through tailored exercise plans. Your expertise will ensure that all patients receive compassionate and informed care attuned to their unique rehabilitation journeys.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program from an accredited institution.
• A valid and active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida, with a clean record free of sanctions or board actions.
• Proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and a strong background in developing successful exercise programs.
• Ability to utilize EMR software with ease, particularly proficiency in Web PT for effective patient documentation.
• Current knowledge of the latest evidence-based physical therapy practices to ensure high standards of care.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is favorable.
• Previous exposure to sports medicine rehabilitation is a significant plus.
• Demonstrated track record of implementing innovative treatment techniques and patient programs that led to significant patient satisfaction and improved outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package ranging from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
