The Spine and Joint Physical Therapy Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Punta Gorda, Florida. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations, selecting appropriate assessments to identify patients' needs accurately and to develop effective, individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals.
• Administer diverse treatment modalities, utilizing techniques tailored to specific conditions, including manual therapy, modalities, and progressive exercise regimens.
• Deliver exceptional patient service and communication, ensuring that each patient feels valued and supported throughout their treatment process.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including other therapists and healthcare professionals, to enhance patient outcomes through integrated care and evidence-based practices.
• Educate patients and their families about conditions, treatment plans, and home exercise programs to ensure adherence and promote successful rehabilitation.
• Document patient progress meticulously, ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and professional standards while tracking functional improvements that align with specific therapeutic goals.
• Participate actively in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives by meeting defined utilization goals and contributing to the achievement of business objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on patients with orthopedic conditions, but you'll also have a chance to work with diverse populations, including pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine patients. You will engage with individuals at various stages of their rehabilitation journey, providing tailored interventions that address their unique challenges and aspirations.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required, demonstrating advanced knowledge in physical therapy practices and theories.
• A valid state license to practice Physical Therapy in Florida is mandatory, ensuring compliance with state regulations and standards.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in orthopedics, showcasing your practical abilities and insights into patient care.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is essential for maintaining a safe treatment environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills enable effective interaction with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Proficient computer skills for documenting patient progress and generating treatment reports using our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Demonstrated commitment to building relationships with patients, focusing on their goals and rehabilitation journey while fostering a supportive community presence.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is preferred, particularly with a diverse patient demographic.
• Participation in clinical research or continuous education programs exhibiting your commitment to professional development is a plus.
• Previous involvement with community outreach or wellness initiatives that demonstrate a dedication to promoting health and wellness outside the clinic.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise. In addition to competitive compensation, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
