Work Environment

Our rehabilitation center is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities designed to enhance patient recovery and comfort. As a Physical Therapist, you will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients with functional limitations and disabilities, crafting individualized treatment plans that align with their specific needs.
• Implement treatment protocols effectively, guided by evaluation findings and the latest healthcare practices, to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions accurately, ensuring compliance with state laws and regulations, while maintaining clear and timely records of care, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to discuss treatment plans and modify care as necessary based on patient responses and conditions.
• Participate in discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring patients have a clear understanding of their post-treatment journey and necessary precautions.
• Engage in ongoing training to maintain professional licensure and workforce compliance with all legal and facility standards.
• Facilitate access to therapeutic resources and overcome barriers that impact patient mobility and recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with outpatient orthopedic patients who require rehabilitative services for a variety of conditions, including post-surgical recovery, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain management. Your expertise will empower patients to regain their mobility and functionality, fostering independence and improved quality of life. By focusing on patient-centric care, you will build trusting relationships through personalized therapy and encouragement.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.
• A valid physical therapy license as required by the state of Florida.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Current CPR certification to ensure the safety and emergency preparedness of our patients.

Preferred Experience

• Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and patient management.
• Previous involvement in interdisciplinary teamwork in a rehabilitation setting.
• Successful history of participating in patient education and wellness programs.
