Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite at our outpatient office in Port Charlotte, allowing our therapists to work directly with patients in a supportive clinical setting. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients presenting with orthopedic conditions, including those recovering from injuries, surgeries, or managing chronic pain.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans utilizing a variety of modalities including manual therapy, exercise, and the use of therapeutic equipment to help alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Track and document progress meticulously, ensuring clear communication of treatment effectiveness and making necessary adjustments to therapy plans based on patient response.
• Educate patients and their families on the therapeutic process, involving them actively in care decisions and training them in the use of assistive devices if needed.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights from patient assessments to enhance collaborative treatment strategies.
• Engage in continuing education opportunities to maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest physical therapy practices and methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.

• A flexible approach to working with diverse patient needs is essential.

Preferred Experience

• While a minimum of two years of experience in the field is preferred, new graduates will be considered and are encouraged to apply.
