Work Environment

Our rehabilitation center in Punta Gorda, Florida, boasts a supportive and collaborative work environment. Physical Therapists work onsite, engaging with patients in state-of-the-art treatment rooms and exercise spaces. The center operates from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, allowing for a consistent schedule that fosters work-life balance. You will be integrating with a multidisciplinary team, which includes physicians, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists, ensuring a seamless approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and establish individualized treatment plans based on each patient's unique goals and medical history.
• Provide one-on-one care to each patient, ensuring a manageable caseload that allows for comprehensive evaluation of their progress.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic techniques in orthopedic outpatient care to maximize functional outcomes.
• Implement cost-effective rehabilitation treatments that prioritize mobility improvement while reducing reliance on surgical interventions.
• Educate patients on physical therapy practices and promote a healthy lifestyle through tailored fitness and wellness programs.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary based on ongoing evaluations.
• Motivate patients throughout their treatment process, helping them achieve their rehabilitation objectives.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to provide a unified approach to treatment, enhancing overall patient care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of treatments provided to each patient, using electronic medical records (EMR) systems effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working predominantly with adult patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic pain conditions. Our facility therefore focuses on providing comprehensive rehabilitation services to help individuals restore their functional abilities and improve their overall physical health and mobility in an outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• Active physical therapist license within the state of Florida, free from sanctions or board proceedings.
• Demonstrated proficiency in a variety of manual therapy techniques and exercise rehabilitation.
• Adept in the use of EMR software, particularly Web PT, for accurate patient records.
• Understanding of contemporary physical therapy methodologies supported by current research and best practices.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships with patients and team members.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient clinic setting is preferred, with proven outcomes in patient recovery and satisfaction.
• Experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams aimed at integrated patient care.
• Familiarity with sports medicine practices and rehabilitation strategies.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
