Work Environment

The Rehabilitation Center you will be working in is equipped with advanced therapeutic tools and technology designed to facilitate effective rehabilitation. Operating onsite, our facility promotes a collaborative team atmosphere, allowing healthcare professionals to work closely in interdisciplinary teams to achieve common objectives. Your primary working hours will be Monday to Friday, providing a stable schedule that enhances work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to evaluate their physical abilities and functional limitations using a variety of diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring optimal muscle function.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure effective application of the treatment plans and interventions.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and physical modalities including traction, manual therapy, and other techniques as indicated.
• Evaluate the home and community environments of clients and suggest modifications to improve independence and safety.
• Document patient progress meticulously through comprehensive clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Engage actively in case conferences, bringing valuable insights to interdisciplinary teams regarding patient care and treatment efficacy.
• Educate and instruct patients and their families on managing their rehabilitation program, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and resources they need for success.
• Maintain timely communication and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to adjust treatment plans according to patient responses.
• Participate in ongoing educational opportunities to refine your skills and keep up with best practices in physical therapy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current physical therapy licensure in the state of Florida, in good standing.
• One year of experience in physical therapy, preferably in outpatient or home care settings.
• Current CPR certification.
• A strong commitment to patient-centered care, emphasizing exceptional patient experiences.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an outpatient rehabilitation center or similar healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and communication.
• A proven track record of developing and executing individualized treatment plans.
• Ability to lead and inspire a team of Physical Therapy Assistants.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 yearly, commensurate with experience.
