Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized physical therapy treatment plans that focus on relieving pain, restoring muscle function, and preventing disability, in line with physician prescriptions.
• Evaluate patients' levels of function utilizing diagnostic tests and assessments to inform treatment plans effectively.
• Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols and high standards of care.
• Assess patients' home environments to recommend modifications that enhance independence and promote rehabilitation efforts.
• Utilize manual therapy skills, therapeutic exercises, and a variety of physical agents to facilitate recovery and rehabilitation.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences to collaboratively evaluate treatment effectiveness and adjust plans as needed.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding therapeutic exercises, the use of assistive devices, and self-care techniques for continued recovery.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training to remain current with industry best practices.
• Contribute positively to team dynamics and organizational goals through proactive communication and collaboration.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will engage with a diverse clientele, including adults and elderly patients, each with unique needs and rehabilitation goals. Providing compassionate and individualized care is essential for ensuring successful treatment outcomes and fostering trust within the patient-therapist relationship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Valid state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, particularly in orthopedic settings.
• Current CPR certification, valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
• Strong commitment to clinical excellence, high-quality patient care, and ethical principles in practice.

Preferred Experience

• Pediatric and geriatric physical therapy experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
• Experience with specific orthopedic assessment tools and treatment protocols.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
