Work Environment\n

This position offers a flexible remote working environment, allowing you to effectively engage with clients via telehealth methods while maintaining the essential support network within the educational framework. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of students to understand their needs, strengths, and challenges.

• Providing crisis intervention services for students experiencing acute distress.
\n
• Connecting students with appropriate resources, both within the school and through external agencies, to facilitate support.
\n
• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation including case notes, treatment plans, and progress reports.
\n
• Promoting engagement through activities designed to enhance students' emotional and social skills.
\n
• Participating in regular interdisciplinary meetings to discuss student progress and collaborate on intervention strategies.
\n
• Actively observing and identifying signs of abuse or neglect in student populations.
\n
• Implementing evidence-based practices and strategies to support emotional learning and resilience in school settings.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role will primarily focus on supporting children and adolescents enrolled in local schools who face a range of challenges including neglect, abuse, mental health disorders, and the effects of parental substance abuse. As an LCSW, you will be instrumental in addressing these complex issues through individualized care plans and interventions, aimed at improving overall student well-being and academic performance.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a closely related field is necessary.

• Current licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey is required.

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in a social work or mental health setting.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with diverse populations.

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and adhere to documentation standards.

• Demonstrated knowledge of developmental and age-specific issues relevant to children and adolescents.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 70,000 and 95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a base salary, Central Valley Counseling Center provides a comprehensive benefits package including:
