About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day/Night Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 12 months permanent experience in specialty required. License: Permanent state license or compact state license required. Certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required. Must-Have: - Must have permanent experience in the specialty applying for. - Must work every other holiday. - Background checks will be reviewed, and no open cases will be accepted. - Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate during orientation with a maximum of two attempts. Description: The position involves nursing responsibilities within a Step Down Float Pool. Nurses will provide care for patients requiring step-down nursing services. Travelers may float to various units to care for the same patient population as needed. Shifts will rotate between days and nights. Local candidates may be considered, but additional restrictions apply. All certifications must be active and in hand upon submission. Nurses must adhere to the nicotine-free requirements unless exempt. All other travelers must have a negative drug screen that includes nicotine within 12 months of the start date. Permanent and per diem nurses cannot return to these facilities for one year from their previous end date. Candidates may extend contracts for a maximum of 18 months, followed by a six-month break. Ongoing compliance with annual education and competency requirements is mandatory.
