Key Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in executing personalized treatment plans by providing support in therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation techniques tailored to each patient's recovery journey.
• Administer a variety of modalities including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional training while adhering to clinical protocols.
• Document and monitor patient progress in accordance with healthcare standards, offering insightful feedback to the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Engage with patients, educating them on proper exercise techniques, effective injury prevention strategies, and safe movement practices to empower their recovery.
• Set up and operate therapeutic equipment, ensuring patient safety and compliance with operational procedures.
• Maintain meticulous patient records throughout treatment sessions, contributing to the overall efficiency and clarity of patient progress tracking.
• Foster open communication with patients and their families, ensuring they are well-informed about treatment methodologies and progress towards recovery goals.
• Uphold a clean, organized treatment environment, while also assisting in general clinic operations to maintain a high standard of patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries or surgeries, including joint replacements, sports-related injuries, and post-operative recovery. You will work alongside a diverse population that includes athletes, active adults, and seniors, each requiring a unique approach to rehabilitation. Your contributions will play a critical role in enhancing patient functionality and supporting their return to daily activities or sports.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in California.
• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, reflective of comprehensive training in physical therapy.
• Strong knowledge of orthopedic rehabilitation techniques, emphasizing the importance of therapeutic efficacy and patient safety.
• The ability to follow detailed treatment protocols and communicate effectively with both patients and healthcare team members is essential.
