Braveheart Mental Health Psychotherapy is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Mental Health Counselor to join our team on a full-time basis in Mill Creek, Washington. As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will work in a remote capacity, providing outpatient services to individuals struggling with mood disorders including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related issues. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality mental health care to our diverse clientele, making a direct impact on their emotional well-being.

Work Environment\n

This position allows for flexibility, as the work setting is primarily remote, allowing therapists to deliver care from their own secure environments. However, the role also requires occasional in-office meetings and collaborations within our outpatient facility in Mill Creek. Our office is designed to be a welcoming and safe space for both clinicians and patients, promoting a culture of mutual respect and support. The typical work hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend hours on a rotational basis.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to accurately evaluate the severity and nature of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Develop personalized treatment plans through collaboration with clients, aligning with their specific goals and treatment preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, drawing from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care strategies to enhance overall wellness.

• Monitoring treatment progress by regularly reviewing client status and adapting the treatment plan as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to guarantee a holistic and integrated approach to patient care.

• Stay informed on the latest research in mood disorder treatment to apply the most effective techniques in sessions.

• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards by maintaining accurate and confidential documentation of therapy sessions and client progress.

• Engage in case consultations and professional development activities to continuously improve clinical skills and stay updated on best practices.

• Advocate for clients by promoting awareness and reducing the stigma surrounding mood disorders to improve mental health access and understanding.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with individuals experiencing a range of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. The practice serves a diverse group of clients from various backgrounds, and your ability to connect with and support these individuals will be fundamental in aiding their recovery and enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or PsyD within the state of Washington.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience focusing on mood disorders is preferred.

• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment practices such as CBT and DBT is essential.
\n
• Fundamental understanding of psychopharmacology and collaborative practice within an interdisciplinary medical team.

• Demonstrated success in achieving positive treatment outcomes with clients diagnosed with mood disorders.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working in outpatient settings and familiarity with electronic health record systems will be advantageous. In addition, ongoing professional development and training particular to mood disorders will be encouraged to support your growth as a mental health professional.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this full-time position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
