Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough and comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate patients' psychological needs and develop tailored treatment plans. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to deliver effective sessions to individuals, couples, and families. Lead psychoeducational groups to educate clients on mental health concerns and foster a sense of community among participants. Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, ensuring timely and compassionate support to clients in distress. Maintain up-to-date and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently. Engage actively in team meetings, case consultations, and continuing education opportunities to stay informed about the latest developments in mental health therapy. Support clients in understanding their diagnosis, treatment options, and available community resources, fostering an informed and engaged patient base. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will serve a diverse range of clients from various backgrounds who are seeking support for mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders. You will work with individuals of all ages, couples facing relational challenges, and families navigating complex dynamics. Your compassion and expertise will play a vital role in guiding our clients toward recovery and resilience. Qualifications Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Kansas. Strong foundational knowledge of mental health disorders and familiarity with contemporary therapeutic practices. Proven competency in conducting detailed mental health evaluations and formulating effective treatment strategies. Experience providing both individual and group therapy to a variety of populations, demonstrating cultural competence and empathy. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills allowing for effective rapport-building with patients and colleagues. Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sound ethical judgment in all clinical interactions. Proficiency in EHR systems and a strong comfort level with technology in providing care. Preferred Experience Experience working in an outpatient clinic setting or community health environment. Familiarity with various therapeutic frameworks and evidence-based practices. Previous involvement in crisis intervention scenarios or emergency mental health services. Active participation in continuing education activities and relevant professional development. Compensation and Benefits The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
