Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Positive-Steps Counseling Center, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough individual, couples, and family therapy sessions tailored to meet each client's unique needs.
\n
• Assessing clients' challenges and strengths through intake assessments and ongoing evaluations.
\n
• Developing detailed, personalized treatment plans rooted in evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
\n
• Implementing various therapeutic techniques and interventions to facilitate clients’ progress towards identified goals.
\n
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of client sessions, treatment progress, and outcomes, in alignment with best practices and legal requirements.
\n
• Collaborating with multi-disciplinary team members, including psychiatrists and other therapists, to coordinate comprehensive care.
\n
• Participating in team meetings and professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele encompassing individuals, couples, and families facing an array of emotional and relational challenges. You will have the chance to engage with clients from various backgrounds, addressing issues including anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, and family dynamics. This diversity enriches the therapeutic process and promotes cultural competence within your practice.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

• Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage clients effectively.

• A genuine commitment to ethical practice, ongoing professional development, and the mental health field.

Preferred Experience\n

Although not mandatory, the following experience is preferred:

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
