Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver therapeutic services including individual, couples, and family therapy, utilizing evidence-based modalities tailored to client needs.

• Perform comprehensive assessments to identify client challenges and develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with each client.

• Engage in ongoing collaboration with our multidisciplinary team, contributing to case discussions and coordinated care strategies.

• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with New York state laws and Valence Counseling Services standards.

• Engage in regular supervision, participate in team meetings, and pursue opportunities for professional development to enhance clinical skills.

• Uphold ethical practices and licensure compliance while navigating client interactions.

• Focus on outcome-oriented treatment planning, adjusting therapeutic approaches based on client progress and feedback.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client demographic is diverse, spanning all age groups and cultural backgrounds. You will work with individuals facing a variety of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and more. Qualifications\n

• A valid New York State LMFT license is required.

• A Master’s degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is mandatory.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a plus.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills to effectively engage with clients and collaborate with team members.

• Experience and comfort working with a diverse array of populations, including underrepresented groups.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Valence Counseling Services offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and caseload.
