Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, offering flexibility while maintaining the benefits of collaborative practice through our outpatient office model. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments tailored specifically to the elderly, identifying and evaluating individual cognitive, emotional, and social factors affecting patient health.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that integrate cognitive changes, physical health conditions, and psychosocial aspects pertinent to each patient’s life.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and family therapy, to effectively address conditions such as depression, anxiety, and dementia-related disorders.

• Collaborate with geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and holistic care to patients, enhancing treatment efficacy and continuity.

• Respond to mental health crises among elderly patients with timely intervention and support, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, therapeutic options, and community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions.

• Maintain accurate, thorough, and confidential electronic health records in compliance with relevant legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in ongoing team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to stay abreast of developments in geriatric mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on the geriatric population, addressing a wide range of mental health conditions that significantly impact older adults. This includes individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, memory disorders, and the emotional challenges associated with aging. You will play a pivotal role in helping this vulnerable population manage their mental health, fostering resilience and promoting their overall wellbeing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, particularly with older adults, is preferred.

• Strong understanding of geriatric mental health disorders and knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Experience in delivering individual and family therapy to elderly patients.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills along with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers an annual salary ranging from USD 75,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
