Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed preliminary interviews and maintain accurate documentation from the first consultation through to the conclusion of treatment.

• Assess clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, utilizing various assessment tools and methodologies.

• Formulate tailored intervention plans and recovery strategies for individuals, couples, families, and groups, focusing on their specific needs.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, applying evidence-based therapeutic techniques to enhance client outcomes.

• Monitor and evaluate client progress throughout the treatment process, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate care and optimize client health.

• Provide follow-up communications with hospital staff for clients who have been admitted, ensuring continuity of care.

• Identify potential obstacles to client recovery and implement proactive measures to mitigate these challenges.

• Offer guidance and support to family members and caregivers, helping them navigate mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our diverse client population includes individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to more complex issues such as trauma and addiction disorders. You will work closely with clients of all ages, offering them tailored support to promote emotional resilience and mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in California as one of the following: LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW.
\n
• Successful completion of the NCE and/or NCMHCE exams with a passing score.
\n
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record systems such as AVATAR to document client interactions and treatment progress.
\n
• Strong knowledge of underlying mental health conditions, including physical health issues and addiction.
\n
• In-depth understanding of best practices as guided by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adept at clearly conveying complex information to clients and collaborators.
\n
• A compassionate and empathetic approach to client interactions, with a focus on building trust and rapport.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience working in a mental health counseling or clinical setting.

• Background or familiarity with telehealth practices and technology.
\n
• Experience developing and implementing group therapy programs.
