Work Environment

Our operational hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, which helps maintain a healthy work-life balance for all staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and develop personalized treatment plans that address individual rehabilitation goals.
• Conduct therapeutic exercises and treatments for an average of 7 patients daily, ensuring effective communication and support at each step of the process.
• Use specialized equipment and techniques specific to orthopedic, neurological, and post-operative rehabilitation.
• Document patient progress meticulously in our electronic medical records system, ensuring accurate and comprehensive charting.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to provide cohesive care tailored to the patients' needs.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, anticipated outcomes, and home exercises to empower them in their recovery process.
• Participate in continuous education and training opportunities to stay updated on industry best practices and emerging rehabilitation techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our outpatient facility serves a diverse patient population, with a significant focus on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain syndromes. This role entails tailoring your therapeutic approach to the unique circumstances of each patient, facilitating their recovery while considering their personal goals and lifestyle factors.

Qualifications

• A current Physical Therapist license from the New York State Board of Physical Therapy.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Master's or Doctorate in the field is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated excellence in patient care with at least two years of experience in a clinical outpatient setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with patients and their families.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems for patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy.
• Familiarity with specialized modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and therapeutic taping.
• Background in developing and leading group therapy sessions.
