Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical condition and movement abilities to determine appropriate treatment objectives.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans focused on specific patient goals, ensuring adherence to the latest evidence-based practices.
• Manage a patient load of one patient per hour, providing hands-on therapy that may involve exercises, manual therapy techniques, and functional movement training.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to optimize patient outcomes and provide holistic care.
• Assess and document the effectiveness of treatments, monitoring patient progress through regular evaluations and adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain meticulous records of patient evaluations, progress notes, treatment plans, and billing information, complying with all regulatory and organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population requiring rehabilitation from orthopedic issues, post-operative recovery, and other physical impairments. These patients range from athletes needing sports rehabilitation to the elderly recovering from surgeries or injuries. Your role as a Physical Therapist is essential to helping them regain independence and improve their overall quality of life through tailored and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey is mandatory.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in providing physical therapy services, particularly in outpatient orthopedic settings.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against your license.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and knowledge of various therapeutic modalities.
• Strong ability to work independently, coupled with excellent collaboration skills to function effectively within a diverse team.

Preferred Experience

Although 2 years of relevant experience is required, candidates with higher levels of expertise in specialized areas—such as sports rehabilitation, geriatrics, or neurology—will be given preference. A strong background in patient education and a knack for developing engaging therapeutic exercises will further enhance your candidacy.
