Position Summary

The Clinical Assistant plays an essential role in supporting our healthcare providers while ensuring a positive experience for every patient and family. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a collaborative healthcare team and wants to make a meaningful difference in pediatric patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms for patient visits.
• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and accurately document patient information.
• Assist healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures.
• Administer vaccinations and perform basic clinical procedures under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.
• Provide compassionate, friendly, and professional care to pediatric patients and their families.
• Educate patients and caregivers by providing clear instructions and answering basic questions.
• Maintain accurate and confidential electronic medical records (EMR) while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Clean, sanitize, and restock exam rooms and clinical equipment.
• Sterilize medical instruments according to established protocols.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of medical supplies and notify leadership of replenishment needs.
• Collaborate with providers, front office staff, and fellow clinical assistants to ensure efficient clinic operations and outstanding patient care.
• Assist with other clinical duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Additional education or certification in a healthcare-related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare regulations, and insurance processes.
• Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Proficient with basic computer applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with excellent customer service skills.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Schedule

This position supports our pediatric urgent care clinic during evening and weekend hours . Flexibility to work these shifts is required.
