Sous Chef

Le Moyne Bistro and Maria’s Oyster Bar are hiring an experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team in downtown New Orleans. We’re looking for strong kitchen leaders who can handle volume, lead a team, and maintain consistency when the restaurant is busy. This is a hands-on position for someone who is comfortable working the line, managing prep and execution, and keeping the kitchen organized under pressure. What We’re Looking For High-volume à la carte kitchen experience required Banquet and/or private event experience Previous Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, or strong lead line cook experience Thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen Strong leadership and communication skills Great attitude and ability to work well with both BOH and FOH teams Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Strong understanding of food quality, consistency, sanitation, and kitchen systems Able to lead by example and jump onto any station when needed Comfortable managing multiple priorities during busy services and events About the Restaurants Maria’s Oyster Bar A lively, high-volume seafood and oyster bar with a fast-paced kitchen and strong focus on fresh seafood, consistency, and execution.
