Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional within a school setting preferred
• Demonstrated interest in working with children and supporting students with special needs
• Experience providing administrative support—especially within educational or office environments—is an advantage
• Strong interpersonal skills and comfort collaborating with educators, staff, and families
• Attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to daily tasks
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow school or district protocols

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting the special education director with a variety of day-to-day activities, supporting the smooth operation of programs and services
• Providing direct support to students under the guidance and supervision of certified special education staff
• Helping prepare, organize, and distribute instructional materials and resources
• Maintaining accurate records and assisting with administrative tasks such as scheduling, correspondence, and data entry
• Collaborating with team members to ensure an inclusive, supportive environment for all students
• Participating in training, meetings, and professional development opportunities as required
