Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations of clients to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring alignment with their personal goals and preferences. Apply evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address client needs effectively. Educate clients and families on mood disorders, various treatment options, and self-care techniques, promoting greater understanding and coping strategies. Monitor and document client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as needed to enhance therapeutic outcomes. Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for clients. Stay updated on the latest research and methodologies concerning mood disorders to enhance treatment strategies in clinical practice. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all legal and ethical guidelines in documentation and practice. Engage in case consultations and team meetings to foster a collaborative treatment approach. Advocate for clients' mental health needs and challenge the stigma associated with mental health issues. Patient Population / Client Focus You will primarily work with individuals suffering from mood disorders, such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, including those experiencing homelessness, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. This role requires a compassionate approach to support these vulnerable populations effectively. Qualifications Active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required. A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is mandatory. Proven ability to establish a safe therapeutic rapport with clients through excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated empathy, a nonjudgmental attitude, and an understanding of clients' unique experiences and challenges. Strong organizational skills and time management abilities, enabling effective workload management and documentation tasks. Preferred Experience Experience working with mood disorders in a clinical setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and a willingness to engage in continuous professional development. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000 annually based on your qualifications and experience.
