Business Development Manager

About the Role We're seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager (BDM) who can source and close new business opportunities aligned with our ideal customer profile (ICP). The right candidate thrives in a modern sales environment and embraces tools like AI assistants, CRM/email sequences, and SMS outreach to drive results. This is a critical sales role requiring a strong mix of autonomy, strategic thinking, and execution. Execute against Oceanwing's North American go-to-market strategy to drive new client acquisition. Source and close new business opportunities aligned with the company's ICP and category focus (Pet, Supplements, CPG). Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Amazon best practices, performance strategies, and competitive dynamics. Achieve or exceed financial and activity-based targets set by executive leadership. Leverage available tools and support—including email marketing, automation, and CRM systems—to drive efficiency and effectiveness. Understand and advocate for client needs to ensure alignment with Oceanwing's service offerings. Create business cases and go-to-market plans for new clients and services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in North America and China to ensure delivery excellence. Represent Oceanwing at trade shows and industry events (up to 25% travel). Participate in process improvements across business development and delivery functions. 50 documented outreach activities per week (email, phone, LinkedIn, etc.) 3-5 prospect calls or capability presentations per week Pipeline conversions in line with financial targets 5+ years of experience in retail, consulting, e-commerce, or sales/business development roles Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals Familiarity with modern sales tools and CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred: Experience working with or selling into Amazon-native or e-commerce-centric brands Proficiency with CRM automation, pipeline management, and reporting MBA or equivalent advanced degree Experience in cross-border teams or overseas business environments Travel: Up to 25% (industry events, trade shows, client meetings) #J-18808-Ljbffr
