Senior Account Executive, High Tech Global Enterprise

Overview The Senior Account Executive is a field-based, direct sales role responsible for client retention and growth through contract expansion and introduction of new products and services. The role requires consulting with C-level executives to develop and implement enterprise-wide strategies that maximize the value delivered by Gartner’s products and services. Responsibilities Account management to increase customer satisfaction, retention, and account growth. Quota responsibility: $800,000+ of contract value within a defined territory of major client accounts. Master and execute Gartner’s sales methodology consistently. Plan accounts and manage territory. Maintain forecast accuracy on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Stay current with competitive landscape and focus areas. Deep knowledge of Gartner’s products and services. Qualifications 8–15 years of proven consultative sales experience, preferably in high‑technology services, software, or consultative environments. Demonstrated success in sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding quotas. Strong intellect, drive, executive presence, and sales acumen. Proven ability to build excellent client relationships at C‑level within large enterprise organizations. Strong computer proficiency and presentation skills. Knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (desired). Benefits & Compensation Base salary: $132,000 – $170,000 USD. Eligible for annual bonus or role‑based uncapped sales incentive plan. Market‑leading benefits include generous PTO, 401(k) match up to $7,200 per year, company stock purchase at discount, and more.
