This role is responsible for architecting secure, scalable, and efficient M365 and Azure environments that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. The Solutions Architect will collaborate with IT leadership, security teams, and business stakeholders to modernize infrastructure, enable digital transformation, and ensure operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Microsoft cloud technologies, a strategic mindset, and the ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable solutions. At United Health Services, Every Connection Matters—you will play a critical role in empowering our teams with cutting-edge tools that enhance collaboration, security, and patient care.Primary Department, Division, or Unit: Application and Integration, UHS Information Systems OperationsPrimary Work Shift: DayRegular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40Compensation Range: $59.58 - $89.38 per hour, depending on experienceJob ResponsibilitiesTranslate business and technical requirements into Microsoft 365 and Azure solution architectures aligned with organizational goalsDevelop and maintain architecture blueprints, roadmaps, and future-state designsPartner with business stakeholders and infrastructure, network, identity, and server teams to deliver scalable, resilient solutionsAssess the current Microsoft solution portfolio to identify gaps, risks, and technical debtMonitor and evaluate emerging Microsoft and cloud technologies to recommend optimizations and innovationsLead the design and implementation of M365 and Azure solutions in alignment with enterprise standardsServe as a trusted advisor and Subject Matter Expert for Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra IDArchitect, configure, and administer Microsoft 365 workloads including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, and M365 AppsDesign and enforce security, compliance, and data governance using Microsoft Purview, DLP, retention, sensitivity labels, and auditingDevelop and execute PowerShell automation for administration, governance, and operational efficiencyCollaborate with PMO and agile teams to ensure architectural alignment throughout the project lifecycleGuide endpoint and device management through Intune, ensuring compliance, patching, and security postureProduce and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and training materialsCommunicate architectural decisions, risks, and progress effectively to executive leadership and technical teamsPosition RequirementsMinimum:Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field3+ years of experience with Microsoft 365 environments governance and management; Hands-on experience with Office 365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.Obtain Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals within 90 days of hire.Preferred:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.A minimum of five years' combined experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines; including technical or infrastructure architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or cloud developmentMicrosoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102)Why You'll Love Working at UHSAt United Health Services (UHS), we believe every connection—to patients, to purpose, to each other—makes a difference.
