Accounting Manager

We are partnering with a well-established, project-based organization that operates in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager to work closely with operations leadership, regional finance, and shared services teams. This role will be instrumental in driving financial accuracy, supporting business performance, and ensuring compliance across multiple locations. Key Responsibilities Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes in alignment with established procedures Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal control requirements, including SOX Partner with operational leaders to address financial inquiries and resolve discrepancies Participate in project and job cost reviews to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement Maintain and review financial reporting tools and branch-level reporting Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts Drive billing, collections, and overall cash flow performance Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data provided to leadership Collaborate cross-functionally to improve processes and support strategic initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field and 4+ years of experience or 6+ years of relevant experience in a construction or project-based environment Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Prior experience in construction, engineering, or project-based accounting environments Compensation and Benefits Determining compensation for this role and others at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
