Job Summary:
Telemetry Nurse in Phoenix, Arizona. This acute care position involves providing critical monitoring and patient care for neuro telemetry units. The role requires proficiency in interpreting EKGs, titrating drips such as Amio, Cardizem, and Insulin, and managing complex patients with conditions like CVA, TBI, and spinal surgery. The position offers a fast-paced environment with a high patient turnover.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour days, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); 0 years minimum experience; willings to wait for license submission; experience in telemetry highly preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Neuro experience highly preferred.
• Float: Float to tele units, tele overflow in ICU, and floor-specific orientation includes 2 days on the floor.
• Additional Information: Nurses will be expected to interpret EKGs, titrate drips such as Amio, Cardizem, and Insulin; working in a fast-paced environment with an average length of stay of 4-5 days. The unit handles trached patients, CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, encephalopathy, ESRD, psych issues, and brain tumors. The unit operates a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, with a 24/7 pharmacy and RT support. Bedside report and high acuity conditions require skilled telemetry nursing.
