The Advanced Pain Clinic is actively seeking a qualified and compassionate Nurse Practitioner specializing in pain management. Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art facility in Waldorf, Maryland, which is equipped with advanced medical technologies and resources. You will work alongside an experienced team of medical assistants, lab technicians, and physicians in a collaborative environment. Our clinic operates on a schedule of four ten-hour shifts during weekdays, allowing for a balanced work-life experience with no weekend hours required.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including obtaining detailed histories and performing thorough physical examinations.
• Utilize your clinical skills to order and interpret necessary diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures such as physical therapy.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment protocols based on individual patient needs and current medical guidelines.
• Administer various pain management interventions, including trigger point injections, joint injections, and occipital nerve blocks, often utilizing ultrasound guidance.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of treatment plans, adjusting them as necessary to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding pain management options, including medication regimens and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to pain management, including making referrals to specialists when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records in compliance with OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA regulations.
• Participate in monthly prescription monitoring to ensure safe and effective medication management.
• Be available for on-call rotation as necessary to address patient inquiries and urgent issues outside of regular clinic hours.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will engage with a diverse patient population experiencing chronic pain stemming from various conditions, including but not limited to arthritis, fibromyalgia, and post-operative pain syndromes. You will be instrumental in providing empathetic care and support to these patients, aiming to improve their pain control and overall functionality.

Qualifications

• Board-certified as a Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner.
• A Doctorate in Nurse Practitioner Studies is required for this role.
• Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• A valid and unrestricted DEA license is mandatory.
• Strong proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team focused on patient-centered care.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to provide high-quality patient care.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of experience in pain management is preferred, we encourage candidates with a strong clinical background and a passion for pain relief to apply. Bilingual candidates proficient in both English and Spanish are particularly encouraged, as they can better serve our diverse patient community.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 165,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
