The Interventional Pain and Diagnostic Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team in Waldorf, Maryland. Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility in Waldorf, Maryland. You will collaborate closely with a dedicated team consisting of medical assistants, laboratory technicians, and physicians to deliver exceptional healthcare services without the added stress of weekend shifts. Our work hours consist of four 10-hour days, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

As a Pain Management Nurse Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments to gather detailed medical histories and performing thorough physical examinations.
• Ordering and evaluating diagnostic tests, including imaging and laboratory results, to formulate accurate diagnoses.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, including prescribing medication and recommending physical therapy options.
• Performing advanced procedures such as trigger point injections, joint injections, and occipital nerve blocks, ensuring appropriate administration techniques, including ultrasound guidance when necessary.
• Monitoring patient responses to therapies and adjusting treatment protocols as needed to maximize outcomes.
• Providing education and counseling to patients regarding pain management strategies, treatment plans, and anticipated outcomes.
• Handling prescription refill requests, ensuring compliance with established guidelines and prescriptions. Reviewing monthly prescription monitoring reports and maintaining adherence to safety protocols.
• Maintaining cooperative relationships with specialists for referrals and managing cases of non-compliance effectively.
• Participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care processes.
• Being available for on-call responsibilities during non-clinic hours on a rotating basis.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on serving a diverse patient population with varying degrees of pain management needs, including chronic pain conditions, post-surgical pain, and complex pain syndromes. Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a Doctorate in Nurse Practitioner Studies.
• Board certification as a Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner.
• A valid, unrestricted DEA license and current BCLS certification.
• Strong proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and adherence to OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA compliance standards.
• Exceptional verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills for effective patient interactions.
• A friendly and caring disposition that fosters patient trust and rapport.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of relevant pain management experience is preferred, candidates who exhibit strong clinical acumen and a genuine desire to learn and grow within the field will be considered. Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are a plus, enhancing our ability to serve a multicultural community.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $115,000 to $165,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
