Key Responsibilities

• Direct personalized physical therapy treatment aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and enhancing or restoring muscle function, aligned with a prescribed plan of care.
• Oversee the work of physical therapy assistants to ensure effective implementation of therapy plans during sessions.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' functional abilities utilizing various diagnostic assessments including muscle, nerve, and joint tests.
• Evaluate client homes to make rehabilitation recommendations that promote independence and safety.
• Deliver physical therapy services in accordance with physician orders, including manual therapy techniques and the administration of various treatments.
• Mentor and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, providing guidance on treatment protocols as per state laws.
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss comprehensive care plans and update treatment strategies as necessary.
• Monitor and document patient progress, making clinical recommendations to adjust therapy plans as needed for better outcomes.
• Provide education to clients and their families regarding therapeutic devices and the overall physical therapy regimen.
• Complete additional tasks as required to support the company's goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our physical therapy services cater to a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, injury rehabilitation, sports injuries, and those managing chronic conditions. This role will require a compassionate approach to care, focusing on each client's unique needs and helping them reach their maximum potential for independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in New Jersey, with a clean record free from sanctions or board actions.
• Expertise in advanced manual therapy modalities and a track record of developing effective exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT, for thorough and accurate documentation.
• Commitment to remaining current with evolving physical therapy practices, supported by evidence-based research.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience as a physical therapist in an outpatient setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience working with diverse patient profiles, especially in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and geriatric populations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits
