Bring your passion for supporting students to a dynamic virtual educational environment in this contract role as a Paraprofessional facilitator for speech-language pathology services. Work directly with students and dedicated professionals to help foster an accessible, engaging online learning experience.
Ideal candidates are flexible, tech-savvy, and have a background working in schools or similar settings. You’ll provide essential support to speech-language pathologists during virtual sessions, helping manage student engagement, assist with activities, and troubleshoot minor technical challenges so sessions run smoothly. Your ability to connect with students and collaborate with educators will be instrumental to everyone's success.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a related role (preferably in a virtual or school setting)
- Comfortable with technology, online platforms, and virtual meeting tools
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with students, teachers, and staff
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet diverse student needs
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in education or special education is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Support virtual SLP sessions by managing student participation and reinforcing lesson objectives
- Assist students with navigating online learning systems and digital resources
- Collaborate with speech-language pathologists to prepare materials and modify activities as needed
- Monitor student engagement and provide encouragement and redirection when necessary
- Keep timely records and communicate observations to relevant staff
